Cupcake Vineyards

I am a wine connoisseur to say the least! It is my drink of choice for dinner, for game night, for summer nights (sangria) and for all other social gatherings in between! Lately I have been such a fan of Cupcake Vineyard wines. Not only for their adorable preppy packaging and superb name but because it actually tastes delicous. I am a red wine person and I swoon over their Red Velvet Wine.

Every once in a while when it's super warm out and I'm boating the day away, I will always pack Cupcake Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc! The adorable yellow twist off top as a cupcake on the top of it!!! Can't bear to throw it away!!!

Monogrammed Necklaces

I always have had a love for all things monogrammed . . but especially Necklaces! I got this love from my Grandma would would monogram everything from her cable knits to her bermuda bags to her pins!!! When she passed away she left me all of her monogrammed everything! My favorite of it all is her necklace that has both and and my grandfather's name on the front and on the back the date of their wedding!!! Although it is not a typical monogram it still looks beautiful and classic!! Here is a picture of the necklace!

It is over 65 years old!!!!! I am in love with it!!! But since it is 2012, I found a NEW peice that I am in love with and it is on my wishlist!!!

Since I live at the beach in the Summer this acrylic monogrammed necklace in bright orange would be ideal!!!! Its from http://www.baublebar.com/ and I am loving their site!!!

High Hopes

I had a lot of high hopes to work on my office today . . but it was so beautiful out that I just couldn't get everything that I wanted to get done today! I worked a little more outside! Bought a beautiful outdoor antique bird cage candle holder! LOVE!! Especially since they match me new lime green chairs!

I did work a lot outside today but I also finished up my bathroom! I finished painting my vanity, got a new shabby chic shower curtain, a jewelry holder, and tons more!!!!

I LOVE this shower curtain! It has the cutest ruffles at the bottom and beautiful paisley pattern on the top! Instead of shower rings I used black and white ribbon to hang it! So far so good!

I hung a new vanity and painted the sink counter blue! The vanity is a little smaller than the old one (note the hole in the wall and lack of paint) so that will be finished this week!!! Disregard that part! 

I hung audrey on the wall (my favorite)!

Put candles on top of the vanity for a nice touch . . . 

This is what I use to put our fresh towels since I have no storage in the bathroom! Another great use for an LL Bean Tote!

Cute over the door towel holder that I found at TJ Maxx for $10.00! I don't normally have good luck there but today was different!

I found this adorable little dish at Target for $1.99!!!! I always take off my jewelry in the bathroom before bed and sometimes I misplace it! So this is a nice solution to make sure I keep my jewelry that I wear on a normal basis is where I kept it the night before! 

Last but not least my Audrey Mug that I have decided to use for my makeup brushes! Perfect finishing touch!!!

So I have a couple things left to do to the bathroom  . . . That adds another thing to do to the list!!!

Sneak Peak Glimpse

I am so ready to start redecorating. This is my "temporary" office . . . I am in the process of some "big" changes . . . I am going to spruce things up over the next few days!! Add some pictures on the walls, better curtains, bigger desk! SOOO EXCITED! I will make sure to post my after picture when I'm done!

Speaking of being excited, I cannot wait for Summer to get here. Here is a sneak peak of my outdoor porch. I just bought lime green Adirondacks and I'm starting to put up my outdoor beachy summer lights! No I don't live on the beach but I like it to feel like I do! Here's a glimpse  . . tune in tomorrow for more!!!!

I am so excited that it is like spring outside!!!! I decided today was a perfect day for rocking my Fornash elephant bracelet and bamboo bracelet!!!!!! The Ray Bans came out today with my gold bow earrings! It was a glorious day for my spring accessories!!!

Sandal Season

It is getting so warm in Connecticut and I am loving it!!!! In honor of this new warm weather I painted my nails with Essie's Mob Squad! It's the perfect pink . . not too barbie like!

Tomorrow I will be wearing my bow sandals! Can't wait!! Are you excited for the warm weather???

Birchbox

My March Birchbox has finally arrived!!! It is everything I hoped for and more!!! Birchbox gave two options this month - the regular Birchbox or the Teen Vogue Birthbox. I opted for the Teen Vogue Birchbox. I figured, Hey why not, I want to look a little younger!!!! For anyone who is thinking of ordering the monthly Birchbox subscription . . .DO IT!!!! It is definitly worth it!

This is how the Birchbox looked when I opened it!!!! I got a sample of Kate Spades Twirl Perfume, an Essie nailpolish (that I have already painted my nailes with). a hair elastic, a hair product (not my favorite but still okay), a Tarte Lip Stain, and 2 coupons!

When I first saw this color I wasn't sure how I was going to like it or if I was going to like it. Well I put it on my nails with no color underneath and I LOVE it! My nails look adorable with just the right amount of shimmer!

This was my favorite in the Birchbox. A full size Tarte (in the color Lucky) moisturizing lip stain. I'm not sure if I can rock the color yet, BUT I have to say that it is so moisturizing that I don't even care if it doesn't look good! It is a creamy stain! Love!!!

This hair elastic is ideal for someone with thick hair like me! I almost always wake up with a dent in my hair from regular hair elastics and this one didn't leave a mark! I am going to be purchasing some of these with my Birchbox points!

This product was okay! My hair is very picky about what it uses and so I probably won't be using this product too much!

All and all my first Birchbox experience rocked! I can't wait for next months!!!

Beauty Routine

I wanted to share my daily face care routine with you! It's so simple and easy and I very rarely get any kind of blemishes! These products are budget friendly and fantastic! 

Step 1. Yonka Gel Cleanser - This works wonders! It's lightweight and non drying but oil free.

 

2. Proactiv Toner - I love this toner even though I don't follow all the steps. I had a really hard time finding a toner that dried my combination skin. This works wonders!

3. Mario Badescu - A.H.A & Ceramide Moisturizer - This makes your skin radiant and so soft! Oil free and non greasy, I love the feel of this cream!

I hope these products work for you as much as they work for me!!

Hallway Redecoration

I have been living in my new apartment since October and little by little it's getting to look the way I want! These next couple of weeks I'm working on the hallway. In order to get to any room in the house, you need to walk through the hallway so I want it to be beautiful and comforting! The house is a 1900's Victorian and there are a lot of original "touches" to it that I just adore!

There is an original chair rail dividing the wall and right now the top is cream and the bottom is beige . . . BORING .  . . So I am thinking of painting the top walls a lighter blue and the bottom a darker tan so it gives a beach like effect!! This way the furniture, pictures, and mirrors that I have on the wall pop! Can't wait to paint!

I am SO excited! I finally got my invite to get my monthly Birchbox! Each month you anxiously await for a perfectly packaged box filled with 4-5 beauty samples. DIY Kitchen Island

Lately I am getting really bored with the decor in my apartment. I love the look of antique furniture, but sometimes it isn't in my budget to purchase such beautiful pieces . . . so I give the furniture my own DIY antique look!! I am loving the idea of making an antique kitchen island cart out of an old dresser!!!! I have a tiny kitchen so it would be so ideal to make something like this!!

If you go to this KITCHEN islands website, they give you plenty of ideas and directions on how to make your own! As soon as I find the piece of furniture I am going to do this to I will be sure to post before and after pictures of what mine looks like!

The Serenity Stone Drop Earrings from Stella and Dot are absolutely stunning!! They are the perfect color for Spring and Summer. You could wear them to add some color to an all white Summer Outfit or they would even look great with a BoHo outfit!! They are a perfect price and are just darling!!

The Dabney Bib Necklace from Loren Hope Designs is perfect with for a white party in the summer! I can picture it with a pair of white Jcrew white Matchstick jeans and a classic simple white vneck t-shirt with a flat shoe!
